CACAU, DE JORGE AMADO: POÉTICA, IDEOLOGIA E MITO NA REGIÃO

Resumo: Dentre as obras de Jorge Amado, pode-se dizer que seu segundo romance, Cacau, recebeu pouca atenção da crítica, o que parece estar vinculado ao impacto que causou sua nota inicial, chamando para si boa parte dos olhares. Neste trabalho, embora sem deixar de lado a referida nota, pretendemos lançar um olhar sobre a poética da oralidade a que chega o autor, bem como sobre os efeitos da relação conturbada entre ideologia e fatura estética no que se refere à construção das cenas. Por fim, analisamos como o fruto que intitula a obra se desdobra em metáfora da reificação humana.

Abstract: Among Jorge Amado’s works, it might be said that his second novel, Cacau, has received little attention from the critics, what seems to be related to the impact caused by its opening note, drawing to itself part of the investigations. In this paper, although considering the mentioned note, we intend to examine author’s poetics for the orality, as well as the effects of the tense relationship between ideology and aesthetical achievements regarding the scenes’ construction. In the end, we analyze the way the fruit which entitles the book unfolds into a metaphor of human reification.
