PARTICULAR E UNIVERSAL NA POESIA LÍRICA – UM COMENTÁRIO CRÍTICO DO TEXTO “SOBRE LÍRICA E SOCIEDADE”, DE THEODOR ADORNO

Resumo: O objetivo do texto é fazer uma análise crítica das relações entre indivíduo e sociedade, tal como expresso por Theodor Adorno em seu texto “Sobre lírica e sociedade”. Trata-se de mostrar o modo como o filósofo compreende o âmbito estético pela negação radical da dimensão comunicativa imediata no âmbito poético. Veremos como uma universalidade mais substantiva é alcançada através de um grau extremo de particularização. Nesse cenário, é relevante demonstrar o quanto a subjetividade está fundada na ideia de sofrimento historicamente constituído. Nosso aporte crítico se dirigirá precisamente ao modo com que o indivíduo é contraposto à sociedade de forma que nos parece por demais unilateral.

Abstract: The objective of this paper is to make a critical analysis of the relationship between individual and society, as expressed by Theodor Adorno in his paper “On the lyrical and society.” This is to show how the philosopher understands the aesthetic realm through the radical negation of the immediate communicative dimension in poetry. We will see how a more substantive universality is achieved through an extreme degree of particularization. In this scenario, it is important to show how the subjectivity is founded on the idea of suffering historically constituted. Our critical contribution will address precisely the way in which the individual is opposed to society so that it seems too one-sided.
