The collection of the Zoological Institute of the Berlin University. The collection of the Zoological Institute of the Berlin University was founded by its first director Franz Eilhard Schulze in 1884. The collection was created especially for teaching purposes and is still in use. Important parts of the collection are the Wandtafeln (wall charts) and the models. Most Wandtafeln were produced in the Institute, some like the famous Leuckart«s Wandtafeln were bought. The model collection comprises for example glas animals, made by Leopold and Rudolf Blaschka, and wax models from Adolf and Friedrich Ziegler.
