Research

Some projects ongoing in our lab; some are running other in standby; just a flavor of what we are involved.

	EcR (and other nuclear receptors) at different levels (phylogenetics, molecular biology, molecular modeling and new targets).
	GPCRs (structure-based design, ligand-based design, Normal mode analysis, Molecular dynamics, pharmacophore).
	Predicting amino acid changes and resistance mechanisms before they evolve in the field (biochemical vs computational/modeling approaches).
	Exploitation of core developmental processes (druggable) derived from medical research into potential new modes of action for pesticides..
	Insect peptides, biogenic amines, dopamine and receptors
	Virulence of honeybee viroses in wild bees and use of RNAi to improve bees health
